MAJOR KEY: Identity

But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

Following our first Major Key of Perspective, in this text, God tells Moses of the assignment placed in front of him. God has heard the cries of the oppressed and has chosen Moses to return to Egypt to deliver them from captivity. He doesn't identify himself with someone able enough to accomplish such a great task and asks God who he is. That's only because Moses doesn't know who God created him to be.

How many times do we talk ourselves out of things because of who we think we are (or aren't)? Moses didn't realize his entire life had been leading him to this exact moment. Thankfully God responds with “I will be with you." When we trust in God, we are given a new identity. When God is with us we become conquerors. When God is with us we become victorious. When God is with us nothing is impossible

Now I will ask you, who do you THINK you are? Does God think the same?
