If you haven't been living under a rock, you've probably heard the buzz about social media's newest obsession, Jessie Woo! She's the hilarious Haitian-American media personality who's been taking over all of your Instagram timelines with a snapchat filter and a Haitian accent that will give any Haitian-American flashbacks of dealing with our Haitian families! She recently teamed up with the folks at FlanBwayan for a very special back to school drive.

FlanBwayan, is a non profit organization dedicated to aid Haitian immigrant children with transitioning into the American education system. Haiti and NYC are worlds apart, and it can be difficult for students to adjust to a new country, new language, and a new classroom. Many students feel alone and isolated during the process and thankfully FlanBwayan has served as a family for them. FlanBwayan has helped nearly 500 students acclimate comfortably in their new life as an American student and Over the weekend, FlanBwayan collected over 600 articles of school supplies for the youth of FlanBwayan.

Special thank you to Jessie Woo for agreeing to team up with other women who are passionate about the Haitian community and to the FlanBwayan team, Darnell Benoit and Nancie Adolphe, for the continuous effort over the past 12 years. Men anpil, chay pa lou!
