Whats In Your Closet?

I love a good wide leg pant. It lengthens the leg, flatters the booty and works as the perfect statement piece in your wardrobe. I got saw these wide leg linen pants (Zara) and fell in love. With a high-waist, cropped leg in the most beautiful yellow, these pants were coming to New Orleans with me! It's too bad when I got to NOLA I brought nothing to wear with them.

That's when I bumped into a vendors booth belonging to Cee Cee's Closet NYC during Day 1 at Essence Fest. Owned by two Nigerian sisters Chioma and Uchenna Ngwudo from New York City, CeeCee's Closet brings you clothes, accessories and headwraps hand made in Nigeria. I was so proud to see them there! I had been following their brand for a while and always wanted to support. Seeing them at Essence Fest was a fabulous opportunity to do so.

I purchased the Red Floral Denim top from the sisters' first collection! They went from using old scraps of fabric to make clothes for their dolls when they were young, to making actual clothes for real life dolls like you and me! This cropped halter top laces up in the back (giving lots and lots of sexy time) and comes in a few different colors. I liked the way the subtle yellows in the top brought out the bright yellow of the pants. It was a look and I'm happy I was able to support. #SupportSmallBusiness #SupportBlackBusiness
