Dont you just love when you make a great purchase? Dont you love it even more when you support small business?! Fur coats have been trending on most clothing racks and I'm so happy to have invested in my fur from House of CB! When I wore it on my birthday, I kept asking myself "How will you wear this on a regular day?!" I paid a pretty penny for it compared to the usual prices I'm used to, so I want to make sure I wear this coat as much as I can this season.
For this look I wore my Grace Jones Sweater by Shopaholic Merch. Shopaholic Merch is a small black-female owned brand based in New York. I first introduced you guys to Shopaholic in New Orleans! I love this branded top because I always thought Grace Jones was a force to be reckoned with. She made androgony sexy. It's only right that I serve a look to match! I think the key to casually wearing a fur is to pretend it's not a fur coat. I was putting too much pressure on the coat as a statement piece before. If you think an item is too dressy for everyday wear, it'll collect dust in your closet forever. I wore a black beanie, scarf and gloves to keep me warm and also dress down the look.
