90° in Brooklyn
Today was the first summer-like day of the year in NYC and Lord knows how bad I was waiting for it to come! As much as I would have liked to really skin-out, the timing was wrong. It's a Wednesday, and the only island I was visiting was Manhattan island, so I had to find a way to simmer-down my outfit in this sweltering heat.
Today's fit is a chambray romper* from TopShop, with an oversized vintage blouse. I got this romper last season and I wish I could wear it everyday. It's so cute and makes me feel so feminine. I purchased it in petite so it could be a little shorter and I can show a little more leg. ;-)
This oversized blouse is thrifted and worn as outerwear because it looks like an old woman's frock worn as a blouse. Wearing it as outerwear tones down the romper from being so risqué. Walking the streets of Flatbush with only a romper didn't sound like a good idea.
I accessorized with a straw hat because I felt like the fit was missing some pizzazz. On my feet were strappy chunky heeled sandals from Marshalls.
I really can get used to this hot weather! I can't wait to see what other looks I'll pull off this season!
Thanks for reading!

*I almost had a boob slip, so I had to use a safety pin to keep it PG-13.
