"Serving Aunty" with Tisha's Bag!

This Womens History Month, we are honoring the aunties in Her Neck of the Woods! I had a chance to catch up with Shovonte Hope at Brooklyn’s own Aunts Et Uncles to talk about the new “Serving Aunty” line coming out of her online vintage boutique, Tisha’s Bag.

An Aunty’s Love

If Mothers will always hold a special place in our hearts, our Aunties place is right next to them. Whether she’s your Mother’s real sister, your play Aunty from up the block, or a woman you look up to, our aunties have made a huge impact on our lives. They are who we trust with what we wont tell our mothers. They inspire us to be bold, and they exceed in making us feel warm, comforted and protected. For Shovonte, being an Aunty herself, and being called “Aunty Sho” jokingly by her peers -- the Aunty title was a term of endearment she embraced.

‘Serving Aunty” speaks to so many of us who are aunties in real life and who love to channel in their inner aunty by serving looks and/or providing love and support for the younger generation. Shop Shovonte’s whole line of “Serving Aunty” tees, hoodies, accessories and more here. Use promo code “HNOW” for a few coins off! Your Aunty in Her Neck of the Woods is looking out for you!
